Photography Coaching/Mentoring

Personalized Photography Mentoring/Coaching

Life's best moments don't wait for you to figure out your camera. My goal is to help you become so confident with it that when your child bursts into laughter, your family gathers around the campfire, or the sunset lights up your vacation, your camera feels like second nature. Instead of thinking, "What setting do I use?" you'll simply capture the moment—and be grateful you did.

I'm a teacher by trade and a photographer by heart.  I love helping people learn new skills, especially when it involves cherished memories.  This is everything I wish I would have had when I was getting serious about learning photography and had so many questions along the way.

My photography journey began after a wonderful experience with my own wedding photographer.  But I had a hard time finding anyone who would share anything about photography with me--they seemed to want to protect their secret knowledge.  I have a community-over-competition mindset, and I LOVE sharing and helping others!

I was a middle school teacher for 28 years and have been a photographer for 14.  I absolutely blending those two passions together--my happy place has always been when those worlds collide!

There's a lot of information out there about photography, but not all of it suits your needs, and it is often so hard to wade through to find just want you need.  Let me help you identify your needs and walk you step-by-step so that you can begin capturing moments the way you want to remember them!

We’ll start with a questionnaire to let me know about your gear, your experience, and your goals.

Then we’ll schedule a consultation where we can meet, evaluate your needs, and make a plan for what we can do to help you continue your photography journey.

You'll also have access to me via text and email to help you with questions and tips! No more feeling alone and lost with your camera.

Investment:

  • $50 for the initial hour-long consultation

  • $50 for additional meetings/lessons

Until then…check out my photography education blog posts and YouTube channel, where you can find all sorts of answers to questions about photography!

"Working with Kimberly has been one of the best investments I’ve made in my photography journey. She is an incredibly talented photographer, but what truly sets her apart is the way she teaches. She’s patient, kind, and takes the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. She never makes you feel intimidated or embarrassed for asking questions.

One of the things I appreciate most is her honesty. If there’s something she isn’t 100% sure about, she’ll tell you and then she’ll work alongside you to find the answer. That kind of authenticity is hard to find and speaks volumes about the mentor she is.

She’s always available when I need guidance, encouragement, or feedback, and she genuinely wants to see her students succeed. Because of her mentorship, I’ve fallen even more in love with photography and editing than I ever imagined. She helped me realize that this isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s something I’m truly passionate about and want to pursue.

If you’re looking for a mentor who will encourage you, challenge you, support you, and celebrate your growth every step of the way, you’ve found the right person. I can’t recommend her enough."
