Abbie's Senior Portrait Session | Clemson University
When I first met Abbie, I think she was in kindergarten or first grade. I was working with her mom, who became a great friend and was actually one of the matchmakers instrumental in bringing my husband and me together! Abbie and her sister Georgia were two of my first photo subjects, our first babysitters, and I got to actually teach Abbie when she was in sixth grade. I also got to do several milestone sessions for her, including a sweet sixteen, high school prom, high school graduation (see carousel to the right for some blasts from the past), and this past Fall, her college senior photos. In December, she graduated with her nursing degree from Clemson University! She is now serving as a trauma nurse at Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill.
I have visited Clemson’s campus a few times, attending a football game way back when, riding through with my husband (who is a HUGE Tiger fan), and taking some bridal portraits a few years ago. But taking Abbie’s senior photos gave me the best tour I have ever had! Clemson’s campus is huge, but absolutely beautiful. We roamed all around: we went shopping downtown, at some chicken at Cane’s Chicken (holy moly it was delicious), then to Sikes Hall, Tillman Hall, the fountain, Memorial Stadium, and finally, the Tiger Walk, where I got to pull out some of my flash accessories and have a little fun! Abbie is also so natural in front of the camera.
It has been a true joy watching this amazing human grow from a little girl into a compassionate, responsible adult. Congratulations, Abbie! I know where I will go if I ever need to go to the hospital now, and which nurse to request! And who knows…maybe I will get to photograph your wedding one day!
