Summer's Bridal Portrait Session | Harley Farms, Clover SC
This past Spring, I took Summer’s bridal portraits at one of my favorite spots: Harley Farms in Clover, SC. The beautiful white barn and gorgeous sunsets provide a perfect backdrop for any portraits, especially bridals!
I took Summer & Grayson’s engagement photos one morning at McDowell Nature Preserve…even though it was foggy and dreary, we made some beautiful and romantic images!
I had already met Summer a couple of months prior when I took her and Grayson’s engagement photos at McDowell Nature Preserve. She is such a lovely person; her love for Christ literally overflows and brightens the day of anyone she meets!
Summer’s wedding dress was the same one her mom wore when she got married…I know her heart must have burst when Summer chose to wear it! And it fit her perfectly. She wore simple jewelry and had a loose updo.
We had such fun wandering around the property and finding all the sweet spots and pretty light! Harley Farms has a beautiful white barn, a swing hanging from a large tree, open fields, animals, and several seating areas, making it a perfect place for any kind of portrait session. I’ve taken engagement, senior, maternity, and family photos there, but this was my first bridal portrait session in the location.
One of the animals who guards the property at Harley Farms is Hunter the cat, and he was absolutely smitten with Summer and her dress! He could not stay away from her (I don’t blame him), and he even made a cameo in few photos. Summer loved him and was tickled he made it into some of her bridal portraits!
And at the end of the session, God painted a brilliant watercolor in the sky for us as the sun set, with brilliant oranges and purples in the sky.
Here’s what Summer had to say about her experience: “I loved getting to know more about Kimberly and her shooting style! We got to chat and connect more, even bounding ideas off of each other. I felt super comfortable asking for specific poses and scenery. The bridal portraits were a wonderful trial run for the shoes/dress/veil/makeup/hair! It helped me iron out those details and not worry about how things would look on the big day. The greenery and cat were awesome touches to the day, but what stood out was Kimberly's gentle spirit! She calmed my nerves, made me feel like a normal person (I'm not a posing kind of gal) and so special! This was exactly what she would bring to the wedding day. I cannot recommend her enough!”
Thank you, Summer, for your kind words! My goal is always to make my clients feel at ease so that their true personalities can shine through in their photos!
